CAPS FC

Our quality licensed soccer coaches have the ability to train each group of students based on their level of play and need for challenge.  We welcome Recreational, travel and Premier players to the camp.  Campers are primarily grouped by age and subgrouped by ability.  Both morning sessions and full day sessions are available to all ages, however, we recommend that students aged 4 through 8 attend the haf day sessions.

Mike has been a professional soccer player at the highest level for over 16 years.  He played in over 100 international games highlighted by the 1986 World Cup Finals and the 1984 Olympic Finals.  He retired from the professional ranks after the 1994 World Cup and works extensively with youth soccer players throughout Northern Ohio since 1984.

As Director of the Cleveland Whitecaps, and a regional recruiter for US Club Soccer he has helped to develop and recognize players to the National, Regional, State and Collegiate level.

Mike and his staff Coaches have incorporated the best aspects of their personal training and career success into a fun and enjoyable camp atmosphere for your children.

We believe that who teaches a young athlete is just as important as how and what they are taught. Our camps staff has a proven track record of coaching excellence and love to work with young players. They combine years of playing and coaching experience at all levels including professional, collegiate, high school, premier and the Olympic Development Program. Camp Staff and Directors will focus on the fundamentals of soccer such as dribbling, shooting, passing, heading, defending, and team strategies. A typical camp day will begin with warm ups, footskills, and individual training. Players then split into groups for short sided games and skill specific drills. During the first day of camp, players are grouped first by age and then by ability.

Players participating in the full day sessions will have more of an opportunity to explore team game and tactics. Group sizes vary but on average are 12 to 1. (Students to Staff).
